Currently I am an Associate Professor at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain. I work for the Department of Signal Theory & Communications. I am also a member of the EHAS Foundation. I obtained my Ph.D in Telecommunications in February 2007 at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. My personal interests are focused on how ICT may beneficiate and stimulate social fairness, development and environmental sustainability. More specifically, I concentrate my research in cost-effective broadband wireless networks that can be deployed in rural areas at developing countries, and how those deployments may be optimized, maintained and operated effectively and efficiently.
An International Workshop about sustainability of rural wireless networks at developing regions will be announced soon. It will happen in July 2012 in Cuzco, Peru.
